If your life has a thirst for change, don't try to fight it. Surrender to the force which, by setting the entire cosmos in motion, brings a chance for miraculous surprises and unexpected coincidences.

What shapes us, what are the threads weaving our life beyond our conscious acts?

Our body is a storage of memories linked to generations of people behind us.

It is a mystery stored in our blood, in our genes, in our bodies. What fears, joys or pleasures passed on me? What is me and what is them in me?

We will safely address these questions, in multiple creative ways, mainly through the body and movement improvisations. We will open the body to new impressions, to discover shapes and possibilities, and activate the imagination.

We will do movement meditations, contact improvisations, gesture development, performative constellations, creative writing, creating objects and developing experimental performative outcomes mixing our stories with fictions.

We will incorporate exercises and techniques from the domains of dance, martial arts, yoga, and traditional massage practices, but above all drawing on practices developed through years of exploration and investigation into the integration of the body and creative expression of the actor.

Our body, voice and mind needs more than fast daily superficial attention. We seek for space and time to truly meet the hidden treasures within the self. In this workshop we will take a journey to the challenging process of repatterning invisible habits, intending to see, accept and move on to whatever lies after that. We will seek and experience the FLOW - the ancient mystery of uncompromising presence, state of extraordinary connection with others in the momentum of improvisation, while mind and feet keeps grounded.

Dr. Diana Serbanescu - a computer scientist and cultural scholar who leads the "Criticality of AI" project at Weizenbaum Institute and co-founded the "Institute for Creative Anticipation and Performing Arts" in Berlin.

Through shared movement training and creative collaborations with other workshop participants, this workshop will emphasise our shared experiences, offering an innovative and creative lens through which we can view our journeys.

LOCATION

We invite you to a place located in the Kłodzko Valley, at the foot of the Golden Mountains, where you will find silence, peace, and closeness to nature, where you will regenerate your strength, recharge your batteries, and let your imagination run wild.

6 July - Arrival Day, meeting at Wroclaw Main Train Station at 2.pm, common transport to Święty Gaj, evening activities

Unless you have your own transport, we will be meeting Wroclaw from where we organise bus transport to our workshop destination around 100 km from Wroclaw.

While the workshop welcomes participants from all backgrounds, it is essential to understand that the process involves rigorous physical demands, requiring intense focus and full commitment. Please keep this in mind before registering.

The cost of the workshop is covering everything you need for a hassle-free experience.

Transportation: Seamless transport from Wroclaw to Święty Gaj, ensuring a smooth journey to and from the workshop location.

Accommodation: Cozy, stylish dorms nestled in the enchanting Klodzko Valley, surrounded by breathtaking natural views.
Workshop Fee: Access to all workshop sessions and activities with no additional costs.

Down Payment: A non-refundable deposit of 150 EUR is required to secure your spot.

10% discount for returning students! (applies for participants who took part in previous summer workshops)
there is limited number of stipendium discounts for students/artists/ people who demonstrate extreme financial needs especially from Poland, Ukraine and countries with currency disadvantaged from EUR.

Following your registration, we will assess your application and let you know if you have been selected for the workshop. Once accepted, a downpayment will be required to secure your spot.

LANGUAGE

The workshop will be led in English. The practice is based on the platform of listening and communication through the body and intuitive experience, therefore verbal explanation will be often reduced to possible minimum.
